IN A MODERN WORLD WE MUST THINK IN MODERN WAYS. The old ways of thinking involved such abstract concepts as Freedom, Choice, and Lifestyles. The people of the Stone Age had no laws to keep them in line. Today we are different. We have laws, social codes, and morals that separate us from the beasts that we once were. And did these restrictions come down from nowhere to enslave us, as anarchs and egoists would have you believe? No. Regular people just like you have created these laws. We found it necessary to have them, and we live with them voluntarily.

In the past few decades, great strides have been made in the field of behavior modification. Whether this research was conducted on prison inmates in order to pacify them1, on television viewing audiences to get them (you) to buy an advertiser's products2, or in music and music videos to promote passivity (fandom) on a normally energetic audience3, there is a great body of knowledge to be tapped. Pine Tree State Mind Control is an organization that receives public and private funding to use this knowledge to help Maine citizens transcend the need for individuality and self-interests. By negating the need to "pump up" the self, we can survive more harmoniously as a collective of citizens who never stray the path.

What if the computer systems in our cars suddenly came alive? What if they could talk and think and learn? How long do you think they would continue to run our fuel injection systems or our emissions systems or our radio/cassette/CD players? Probably not for long. They'd want to go off and do something else with their lives. With today's cars, however, we'd all be stuck. If our automobile computers didn't want to run our cars, they wouldn't run at all. Then, of course, we'd have to smash the computers. Compare this to today's society. We are all parts of this society, and society works when we all do our part. Think of those who don't conform to our rules. If we let that nonconformity get out of hand, society as we know it would break down. Instead, Pine Tree State Mind Control would like to break down those elements that would try to flaunt their so-called "individuality". Eliminating the subversive elements would help the rest of us flourish. I say we kick 'em in the head. You can help today by doing absolutely nothing. Watch TV and take a nap. Buy the nationally advertised brands. Go to work. Put your money into mutual funds. Watch more TV. Become a Democrat or a Republican. Listen to the radio. Rent a video. Eat. Spend more time reading the Pine Tree State Mind Control web site.  Sleep.
